Modern technology boosts idea development

Firms renting office space, industrial units and workshop space can boost the development of their ideas by implementing new technology, according to the vice president of Google Enterprise.
Sebastien Marotte told the BBC that social media, mobile working and the invention of cloud computing have accelerated the world of work.
He explained that communication online is becoming more prevalent among workers and noted that any issues that have been experienced can be easily ironed out in the future.
“Collaboration may seem like a buzzword, but many organisations are already developing cultures that encourage people to work together across locations and borders, using social, mobile and cloud technologies,” Mr Marotte explained.
A study conducted for Google by the Future Foundation revealed that collaborative working has the ability to boost innovation and that there is more likely to be emphasis given to good ideas over performance targets.
It was also revealed that firms will make even more use of social media in the future as opposed to a diversion which staff must be kept away from.
