Companies urged to ‘personalise when going online’

Businesses which are still getting to grips with the benefits of the online world have been given some tips on how to excel on the internet.

Jennifer Stenhouse, partner at Mymediamanagement.com, believes that shy managers will get nowhere when jumping online, as customer relations are highly important.

When it comes to communication with potential consumers, the expert stated that questions should be asked of what people like and what they want from a website or a company.

Ms Stenhouse also advised: “Personalise your business where you can. People prefer to buy from people, not a faceless organisation, which is where online videos score.”

In order to get more customers, the expert went on to point out that free stuff is a great incentive – even if this is just in the form of advice.

When it comes to enhancing an office space, the Symantec 2011 State of Cloud Security report has also revealed that more than three-quarters of British companies have moved to the cloud, or are looking to do so in the near future.
