The Bizspace centre at Baltic Works, Sheffield is situated 3 miles from Junction 34 of the M1 motorway, providing good access to Leeds, Wakefield, Manchester and London. Sheffield's main railway station is just over 1 mile from the site and there is the addition of good local bus and tram services providing easy commutes to Attercliffe, Hillsbrough, (the home ground of Sheffield Wednesday Football Team), Parkway and Meadowhall, which has one of Europe's largest shopping malls. Other local attractions situated close to Bizspace Baltic Works include; The Crucible Theatre, Sheffield Arena, Don Valley Stadium and the sports ground at Bramall Lane, home to Sheffield United and Sheffield Eagles Rugby League. The site was originally built in 1850 by Jonathan Beardshaw, a prominent name in the Sheffield steel making industry, who made saws for the tree felling industry and supplied a major market in the Baltic States, hence the name for the site. Other points of interest are the acclaimed British movie, The Full Monty was filmed in part at the Baltic Works and the site also has a commemorative wall plaque stating one of the first bombs in Word War 1 fell on the buildings on 26 September 1916.
