Stray Cats Finds New Home In Altrincham

A brand new custom motor cycle building firm has opened for business in Altrincham and is already revved up and taking orders for its unique brand of two-wheel artistry.
Stray Cat Customs was set up at the beginning of the year by John Moult and Gary Francis and has just completed construction of its first custom motor cycle constructed at its new workshops at Bizspace’s Atlantic Street business centre. “We had both been building custom motor cycles, on an amateur basis, for a number of years,“ comments John Moult, “but we decided that now was good time to take the plunge and build bikes professionally.
“We already had a couple of customer race bikes to build, so we had some business to start with. However, as word has spread about our new venture so customer enquiries and orders have started to come in.
“The biggest problem we faced initially was finding a suitable north west location in which to base the new business. However, we solved the problem by visiting the Bizspace centre in Altrincham which was able to provide us with immediate access to light industry, office and storage space. Centre manager Jill Scoltock went out of her way to make sure the workspace was ideal for our needs and even gave us the flexibility to remodel the space, including moving walls and doors so that our workspace was as customised as the bikes we are going to build. Another benefit is the fully–staffed reception area where our customers and visitors can be greeted and make use of meeting rooms if required.
“Our business is focussed on the needs of small entrepreneurial businesses, so it was easy to fit workspace to the needs of the Stray Cat’s” adds Jill Scoltock. “Flexibility is the buzzword of our business, so whilst allowing a client the freedom to redecorate to their own tastes is rare at most business centres, we take a different approach and try to work with small businesses to help them succeed.”
