BSS House in Swindon has seen a rapid increase in lettings since being taken over by Bizspace, one of the UK’s largest providers of flexible managed workspace.
The property was acquired by Bizspace’s parent company, Highcross, this summer in a £4.75 million deal. It has already attracted a number of new tenants, with further lettings scheduled for January 2008. Among the new occupiers are arts & crafts suppliers, a copywriting agency, carpentry & joinery works, light engineering, nail & beauty online & trade supplier who join the established business community in BSS House.
Maureen Harvey, centre manager, says: “With the very welcome arrival of Bizspace as our new owners, we look forward to a fresh start and exciting times ahead. Bizspace plans to upgrade the premises to make BSS House the place for the micro & small businesses which play a vital part in the local economy.”
She adds: “This is Bizspace’s first property in Swindon and the keen interest we have experienced over recent weeks, highlights the demand in the local area for our wide range of office and light industrial space and flexible terms.”
The 100,000 sq ft development includes 81 light industrial business units ranging from 163 – 5,850 sq ft. In addition, a two-storey office building attached to the front of the property, provides a further 17 individual office suites ranging from 100 – 670 sq ft.
Premises are available on flexible licence agreements, which allow businesses to sign up and move in on the same day. Other features include instant access, on-site management and maintenance, fax and photocopying services, mail boxes, kitchen facilities, reception, meeting rooms, on-site café and car parking. BSS House has easy access to the M4, close to the town centre and main line railway station.
