Bizspace, the largest UK-wide provider of flexible managed workspace, has acquired its 100th property, with a further eight sites in the pipeline. In the 18 months since Bizspace was bought by Highcross, its property portfolio has grown by over 100 per cent.
Bizspace starts 2008 with almost 7.5m sq ft under management, with a portfolio value of £390m. Its range of flexible managed workspace properties, which are located across England and Scotland, range from self-storage, offices, light industrial, workshops and studios to warehouse accommodation.
Says managing director, Gareth Evans: “To have achieved over 100 per cent growth in 18 months is fantastic. We pride ourselves on providing a consistent, high quality and flexible service to our customers across the UK, an approach that certainly works for us.”
In November, Bizspace won the Business Centre Association’s Managed Workspace of the Year award for its Hebburn centre in Tyne & Wear. In 2006 it won the same award for its business centre in Hove, East Sussex.
Flexible business accommodation is provided through simple licence agreements, with the potential to sign up and move in the same day, and the flexibility to expand or contract space as business needs change.
