South Yorkshire BizSpace gives back

Our sites in Rotherham, Sheffield and Wakefield have joined forces and all contributed to raising money for Hallam FM, Cash for Kids.

We are delighted to announce that the charity hit a record-breaking year and raised £1,322,750 in gifts and cash, which ensured 25,255 children woke up with presents on Christmas Day morning. We are proud to be part of the South Yorkshire community who contribute to helping and giving back to other people in the area.

Cash for Kids charity works with local communities across the country for the welfare of their own youngsters. They use the power of their radio brands to deliver initiatives for sick and underprivileged children in the community, to benefit local children and give the most disadvantaged a better and brighter future. They also participate in a huge variety of fundraising events both on & off air and by encouraging individuals, groups, schools and companies to jump on board, join in the fun and offer a helping hand.

Zoe Wadsworth, the Business Centre Manager for Rotherham commented: “We decided to help Cash for Kids as there are hundreds upon thousands of children that go without Christmas presents at the most special time of year, whether this is due to poverty or illness.

Cash for Kid’s mission was to ensure all children within their reach could have a least one present to open this year plus cash donations given to the local Children's Hospital in the Sheffield area.

We met the charity during a business expo at the Hotel Van Dyke in Clowne last year and since then the BizSpace North Region has been involved in their projects to help continue all the amazing work that they do.”

In 2018, Cash for Kids aims to continue to meet the needs of disabled and disadvantaged children in the community and we look forward to continuing to follow and be part of their aim to give back.
