BizSpace Proudly Signs the Armed Forces Covenant

We’re delighted to announce that BizSpace has officially signed the Armed Forces Covenant, reaffirming our commitment to supporting those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, along with their families.

By signing this covenant, we pledge to uphold its key principles:

  • Fairness and Equality: Ensuring no member of the Armed Forces community faces disadvantage compared to other citizens.
  • Special Consideration: Offering additional support to those who have given the most, such as the injured or bereaved.

Our commitment will soon be showcased on the official Armed Forces Covenant website, and once verified, we’ll proudly display the Armed Forces Covenant logo as a symbol of our ongoing support.

What This Means for BizSpace

Supporting veterans and their families is not new to us—it’s part of who we are. This signing builds on several meaningful initiatives across our business that make a real difference in people’s lives:

  • Veterans Programme: Last year, we launched our UK veterans programme and proudly welcomed our first veteran into the business.
  • Veterans Open Day: This summer, we hosted our second Veterans Open Day, where 12 veterans joined us for an inspiring and interactive day of learning, networking, and exploring career opportunities at BizSpace.
  • The Colonel’s Fund Charity Clay Shoot: Several of our directors and colleagues participated in this fantastic event, raising over £121,000 to support veterans and their families through The Colonel’s Fund, which assists those wounded in service or coping with bereavement.

Our Broader Commitment

Our covenant pledges include:

  • Promoting the Armed Forces: Championing our Armed Forces-friendly status to staff, customers, suppliers, and the wider public.
  • Employment Support for Veterans: Hosting our annual Veterans Open Day to help veterans find meaningful employment.
  • Supporting Reservists: Offering 10 days of unpaid leave for annual Reserve Forces training and supporting mobilisations and deployments.
  • Cadet Organisations: Providing 5 days of unpaid leave for employees volunteering as Cadet Forces Adult Volunteers.
  • Service Spouses & Partners: Granting flexible leave before, during, and after a partner’s deployment.
  • Advocating AFC/ERS: Encouraging our supply chain and partners to sign the Armed Forces Covenant and Employer Recognition Scheme.
  • Charity Support: Giving employees opportunities to volunteer and contributing financially to Armed Forces charities.

At BizSpace, we’re proud of the compassion and dedication our teams show in supporting both veterans and the wider community. Together, we’re building a workplace that recognises service, promotes inclusion, and helps people thrive.
