We’re delighted that our roofing contractor, Rooftec (Scotland) has been recognised in several awards for their community work and customer service.
We’re delighted that our long-serving roofing contractor, Rooftec (Scotland) has been recognised with an award for its community involvement.
The Falkirk-based firm has also received three further award nominations for its outstanding roofing work and commitment to apprenticeships.
The Rooftec team has been working on our sites in Scotland for almost six years and has completed some major projects, such as the replacement of the entire Welsh slate roof at our 150-year-old Cockenzie Business Centre, as well as numerous smaller repairs.
By careful planning and project management, our Cockenzie Business Centre was able to be kept fully open during the several months of roof replacement work last year, minimising any disruption to our customers.
Keith Hudson, Business Centre Manager, Scotland, said the ‘can-do’ attitude and excellent craftsmanship from Rooftec meant that he had built a strong working relationship with the team. He says,
It’s nice to be able to give praise where it is due, and I wish more contractors would be more like Rooftec
“At Bizspace our customers’ businesses are paramount, so any problems with roof leaks obviously need dealing with as a matter of urgency. Rooftec are so responsive and last year they even came in when they were closed after I’d called them with a problem on Christmas Eve. I couldn’t be happier to hear of their awards success.”
Rooftec has been awarded and nominated for several awards:
Co-founder of the business, Nicola Cattanach, who runs the company with husband Mark, said the team was overwhelmed by the spate of accolades and recognition.
“The NFRC awards last year were the first we had entered, but it looks like we should have had the confidence to do so before!” she says.
“We started taking on apprentices as we couldn’t recruit people with the skills and qualifications we needed, so we decided that on the job training in conjunction with the Construction Industry Training Board would be the way to go. We take on an apprentice every year and this year our first apprentice is due to finish his course and be fully qualified, so that’s another reason to celebrate.
“All this good news has been a great boost to team morale, especially at this time of year when they’re getting up in the dark and cold to work on a snowy roof!”
Bizspace Sales and Marketing Director, Emma Long, added: “Bizspace has a wide range of properties, several of which hold local historical significance, such as our Cockenzie Business Centre. For this reason, it’s important that we appoint trusted and skilled tradespeople to repair and look after our centres. We’d like to not only congratulate Rooftec but thank them for all their excellent work.”
