Smooth operators: We’ve been chosen to operate Enterprise Centre East Northants

We have recently moved forward to branch out our services with new plans to operate Enterprise Centre East Northamptonshire (ECEN), on behalf of East Northamptonshire Council. The launch of ECEN will mean that we, alongside Enterprising East Northants, the Council’s economic arm, can provide flexible workspace, support and advice to local start-ups, small businesses and entrepreneurs.

The stunning new ECEN is located in the rural market town of Raunds, East Northamptonshire, and reaches businesses that operate off the beaten track. Purpose-built, the centre offers a first-rate business vibe with its multitude of high-quality serviced offices, workshops and mailboxes.

Each of the centre’s 71 offices benefits from natural light and are blank canvases for customers to make their own. The spaces range from 168 – 480 sq.ft. and, in true BizSpace-style, will be available on flexible, short-term contracts.

The centre has two meeting rooms that can seat ten people each, as well as 12 commercial workshops, each at around 683 sq.ft. in size. Services also include flexible virtual offices and mailbox access for companies looking for a professional address without the physical workspace.

The state-of-the-art office suites also have shared facilities and external breakout areas. The spaces are near local amenities for those who prefer to get out at lunch, including a supermarket and fast-food restaurants.

Sitting on the A45 with direct access from the A14, A1 and A6 – with plenty of parking, including disabled bays, motorcycle parking and electric vehicle charging – the centre is perfect for commuters. It is also located one minute from a bus stop with links into the centre of Northampton and has cycle spaces for those who prefer two wheels.

This endeavour is a BizSpace first. Usually, we hold full ownership of a business centre and run it independently. For ECEN, we’ve been chosen to operate the centre on behalf of our partners in the project, East Northamptonshire Council. The Council are the owners of the purpose-built building and the project was part-funded by SEMLEP’s Local Growth Fund. We have been working closely with Enterprising East Northants, gearing up for the launch.

The partnership means that the new centre will run under BizSpace’s watchful eye, with our usual highly-experienced on-site team and a dependable Centre Manager. Our team is there to provide a warm welcome, guidance and an excellent experience for businesses in the centre from day-to-day.

Brian Andrews, Managing Director South of BizSpace, said “By entering into a partnership with East Northamptonshire Council and Enterprising East Northants, we can provide our award-winning service in a high specification office space. It is great to be able to support Enterprising East Northants as they provide business space to local SMEs and entrepreneurs to ensure a strong future for the economy of Northampton. I look forward to the success stories that come out of Enterprise Centre East Northants.”

While the opening of the centre is delayed due to COVID-19, we are still working hard in the background alongside the Council to ensure the centre and its launch are ready as soon as the situation improves. The launch, originally due in Spring 2020, will now take place later in the year, with the exact date to be confirmed.
