Tri-ing hard: in shape for property triathlon

We love nothing more than a bit of friendly competition to get the adrenaline flowing. So we’re looking forward to cheering on the BizSpace team at the JLL Property Triathlon North, taking place in Manchester on Friday 28 July.

We have lots of fit and active people in our team and this year we are entering our biggest team ever for the fantastic JLL Property Triathlon North, at MediaCityUK, Salford Quays in Manchester.

Eleven of our triathletes will be completing the two laps of open water swimming in the dock, totalling 750m, a 18km bike ride around Salford and a 5km run around Salford Quays.

Sprint finish

The sprint distance triathlon is for anyone in or connected to the property industry. It attracts hundreds of entrants from far and wide of all levels of ability and raises money for charities Crisis and The Christie.

Our super-fit CEO Gareth Evans and Cluster Manager Lisa Taylor will both be braving the full triathlon, hoping to beat their previous times.

Team spirit

This year we also have three relay teams, with three participants who will each take on single elements of the race.

Our swimmers are:

Taking on the cycling will be:

• North West Regional Sales Manager Paul Ogle
• Centre Manager Simon Fennell
• Regional Sales Manager for the North, Steve Moody

• Head of Credit Control Travis Brown
• Our PR Consultant Natasha Wright

Third time lucky

Gareth says: “This will be the third year we have taken part in the property triathlon and it is always a fantastic event.  As well as having such a large team this year, we will have staff and customers from around the region coming along to cheer us on throughout the day, which is a huge boost for those taking part.

“We have a real mix of experienced athletes and some who have never taken part in a triathlon before.

“It’s all about giving it a go and being a part of a fantastic team spirit and we really looking forward to this year’s event.”

BizSpace has a number of business centres in the Greater Manchester area and we’d love our customers from nearby centres such as Empress in Old Trafford, Astra Business Park in Trafford Park and Wilsons Park in Newton Heath to come along, join the fun and show their support.
