Didcot entrepreneurs add to awards haul

We are delighted to hear further good news from an entrepreneurial husband and wife team based at our Didcot Enterprise Centre in Hawksworth.

Christine and Iain McRitchie are the respective owners of Earthwise Trading and Earthwise Products, which both have business units at Didcot. Recently we shared news of how Earthwise Trading’s Wonderoos reusable nappy brand won a host of awards within a matter of days. And now it is Iain’s Earthwise Products that has scooped an award, as well as being shortlisted for another.

Supporting the economy

Earthwise Products has been named FSB (Federation of Small Businesses) Micro Business of the Year for the region, recognising its status as a business with fewer than 10 employees that has played a crucial role in supporting the economy. It has recently launched the SOLiC 200 – a product which diverts unused power from PV panels to heat water.

Director Iain McRitchie said: “Winning the regional FSB WorldPay award for Micro business of the year recognises everything Earthwise Products Ltd has achieved in the last 18 months with the launch of the SOLiC 200. We feel that this reflects our ethos of supporting homeowners to reduce their household costs and carbon emissions and are very pleased to have been recognised for our achievements.”

The business has also found out it is a finalist in the New Business category of the Oxfordshire Business Awards. Winners will be announced at a prestigious awards dinner on Friday 20 June.

Earthwise Products has had its office headquarters at our Didcot Enterprise Centre since November 2012 and Earthwise Trading has a separate workspace within the business centre.
