What is a managed office space?

A managed office space is a workspace solution owned and operated by BizSpace. These spaces are purpose-built offices, allowing prospective business tenants – like yourself – to have much more control over your work environment. You start with a blank canvas that can be furnished and equipped to suit your exact needs. Then you choose between both short-term license agreements and multi-year lease options.

    Who are managed offices for?

    Start-ups

Managed offices provide startups with a flexible and scalable workspace solution. Startups often have evolving needs and may require quickly expanding or downsizing their office space. Managed offices offer the flexibility to adapt to changing requirements, allowing startups to focus on their core business without the burden of managing a traditional office.

    Growing SMEs

Small and medium-sized enterprises can benefit from managed offices due to their cost-effectiveness and convenience. These offices often come fully equipped with essential amenities and services, eliminating the need to invest upfront in infrastructure and freeing up resources for other business priorities.

    Remote or distributed teams

Managed offices are well-suited for remote or distributed teams that may require occasional or periodic physical workspace. These teams may primarily work remotely but occasionally need a central work location. Managed offices offer the flexibility to utilise office space as needed, providing a professional and productive environment for work.

    Frequently asked questions

We recognise the importance of simplicity and flexibility. Our simple two-page licence agreements allow you to rent office space for up to a year. We also provide longer-term leases that provide exclusive rights to the property for up to 25 years.

Both managed and serviced offices offer flexible rental options and are managed by operators. The most significant difference between these two types of rentals is that with serviced offices, the provider completely fits out the interior. Whereas with a managed office, the customer chooses details such as the floorplan and how many desks and meeting rooms there are (they are also free to fit the office out themselves, provided it is returned in the condition it was let in).

The cost to rent a managed office space can vary. It depends on the location and the size of the office. Many of our business centres are outside city centres, meaning the rent cost is more affordable.

    • A managed office typically includes various amenities and services to provide a convenient and functional workspace. Some common inclusions are:Shared facilities – Depending on the specific managed office space, shared facilities like meeting rooms, conference rooms, kitchen areas, and communal spaces may be available for tenants to use.

Internet connectivity – Reliable high-speed internet access is usually provided, enabling seamless connectivity for business operations and communication.

Security – Managed offices usually have security measures in place, such as surveillance systems and secure access controls, to ensure the safety and privacy of tenants and their belongings.

Reception and administrative support – Managed offices often have a dedicated reception area and personnel to handle tasks like greeting visitors, handling mail, and providing administrative assistance.

Maintenance – Office management often provides regular maintenance, relieving tenants of the responsibility of upkeep and ensuring a well-maintained space.

A managed office space is a type of office space managed by the building provider. Companies can rent managed office space, safe in the knowledge that the building provider looks after the running of the building – for example, reception, administration, and operational support – and the provision of facilities and amenities.
