Bizspace acquires Design Works business centre in Gateshead

We’re delighted to welcome more than 60 companies as Bizspace customers, as we take on ownership of Design Works Business Centre in Gateshead.

A warm welcome as well to the newest Bizspace staff members – Business Centre Manager Sam Kane and Administrator Gillian Bell, who both join the team.

Design Works is a modern business centre comprising three buildings with workspaces from 100 sq ft to 2,000 sq ft, and is currently home to 62 businesses, including architects, recruitment firms, mortgage advisors and sign makers.  

Our team has been on site since August 1 to welcome new customers, telling them more about our plans for the business centre and answering any questions they may have.

Experienced staff

Manager Sam has worked at the centre for 10 years and is looking forward to further developing the site with Bizspace.

“It’s an exciting time for us to be joining Bizspace, with the investment in the company and the new branding just being launched,” says Sam.

“I am happy to be working with a friendly team of people and it’s great to hear the plans for the centre.

“The customers think improvements around the building is what Design Works needs, so they are all looking forward to seeing what Bizspace has in store.”

We’ve set aside a budget to refurbish communal areas of the business centre, including the reception, toilets, kitchens, vacant suites and car parking facilities.

Expanding our reach

Our Sales and Marketing Director, Emma Long, says she is delighted that Bizspace had expanded its presence in the North East.

“Design Works is a vibrant, modern business centre with facilities which are ideal for our target markets of start-up businesses and SMEs,” she comments.

“We have plans to invest in the centre and will soon be introducing new signage with our corporate branding.

“We’d like to welcome all our new customers and would be happy to arrange viewings for any businesses in the region who would like to view the facilities.”

Design Works is situated close to Felling bypass, offering excellent transport links including simple access to Newcastle, as well as to the country’s main A roads.  There are also two Metro stations within close walking distance.

The business centre offers 24-hour access and CCTV security.
