BizSpace’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic

Rest assured, we at BizSpace are doing everything we can to improve the situation for our customers and employees during this pandemic.

We aim to keep our sites open for as long as possible to help our customers while we follow government guidance in every instance.

On-site, we have introduced a more rigorous cleaning routine, are providing alcohol-based sanitiser where stocks allow and Centre Teams are supporting our customers. Our on-site staff members have been encouraging the social distancing rule since the Government introduced it.

To keep customers informed during the changing situation, we continue to release regular communications via email and add new online resources any time there is a development. These include articles on the business support provided through the 2020 Budget and social posts across multi-channels with further information.

We are also in the testing phase on a new documents portal for our website where we will release free business help guides for download. The portal should be ready for launch within days rather than weeks.

As a special resource for working parents now at home with their children, we are about to release a children’s colouring book for free download via the portal. The project is in aid of International Children’s Book Day on 2nd of April 2020.

To support the business community, we are speaking to our customers and asking how we can best assist them during this challenging period. Our Centre Managers are maintaining the close relationships with the people in their centres, and due to the wide variety of customers we have, we are working with them on an individual basis.

We have also frozen all imminent Renewal Fee increases within a three-month pipeline and have created and distributed hand washing and social distancing posters on all of our sites.

Any centres that have a confirmed case of COVID-19 will be cleaned, with particular focus on the space of the individual, the communal areas and any rails, handles and buttons they may have touched.

We are reaching out personally to any customers who are confirmed to have COVID-19 to offer support, guidance and well-wishes.

BizSpace Head Office is now functioning with a skeleton workforce, and the majority of our employees are working from home. High-risk employees are staying home and are eligible to claim sick pay if they cannot carry out their work from home.

We are also offering our employees support via our free 24/7 Employee Assistance Helpline, both online and over the phone. Within our immediate workforce, we have qualified Mental Health First Aiders who are available to speak to their colleagues at any time should they need help with maintaining wellbeing.

Employees are also utilising Zoom to carry out virtual meetings, catch-ups and fun tea breaks to ensure team relationships remain strong and projects are completed as a unit.

We want to reiterate that we are closely following government guidelines and are aiming to support our customers and employees as best we can. Please check our blog for the latest resources and news.

BizSpace will continue to keep the business community updated with any further developments on our operations and with the evolving COVID-19 situation.

Stay safe. We’re in this together.
