Flexible coworking comes to Brixton
We are pleased to announce the launch of our second coworking space, The Work Lounge, at the Shakespeare Business Centre in Brixton.
Following the success of our co-working scheme in Letchworth Garden City, we are pleased to announce the launch of our second Work Lounge, at the Shakespeare Business Centre in Brixton.
Opening its doors on Thursday 16 January, The Work Lounge at the business centre on Coldharbour Lane, will offer a professional and stylish working environment for homeworkers, freelancers, mobile workers and start-up business owners.

Work in style and comfort
With its stylish exposed brick walls, full height windows and a variety of vibrant seating and desk combinations to choose from, Brixton’s Work Lounge will offer excellent flexibility and value for money.
Manager of the Shakespeare Business Centre, Natasha Walker, explained the thought process behind the Work Lounge.
“With more and more start-up businesses launching, budding entrepreneurs are becoming increasingly savvy and taking their time to source the most cost-effective business facilities,” she said.
“Our coworking space provides a professional work environment with the ultimate flexibility over costs, as well as users’ preferred ways of working. At the Work Lounge, you can choose to pay by the hour or pay a fixed monthly fee, and facilities such as high speed WiFi and tea and coffee are all included in the cost.
“We have conducted customer research and have gone the extra mile to provide everything that Work Lounge customers may need.”
Ideal solution
The Work Lounge will be ideal for mobile workers or travelling salespeople to use as a base in the capital. Co-working can also help overcome some of the problems which can be suffered by home workers, such as reduced social contact, loneliness, lack of self-esteem and lack of motivation.
Our third Work Lounge will be opening at the end of January at our Empress Business Centre in Manchester. Further details of both sites will be announced nearer the time.
Payments and bookings for the workspace will be managed by NearDesk, a national online co-working network.
