Hope springs with the Bizspace team

We always do our best to support and encourage start-up businesses, so it’s fantastic when we hear good feedback.

It’s an honour for us to hear that Hopesprings Therapy Services, based at our Fleming House Business Centre in Livingston, West Lothian, was so impressed by our service and facilities that they nominated us for Business Centre of the Year in the 2013 BCA awards!

Specialist requirements

Hopesprings first moved into Fleming House  when it launched as a start-up in 2010, and the psychotherapy business is now in its sixth different business unit within the centre.

Owner, Gary Owen, explains his journey with Bizspace.

“We require a confidential, secure and, above all, quiet environment for clients to feel suitably secure in their efforts to talk about what are very often difficult and traumatic life events,” he says.

“The Bizspace team at Fleming House has been endlessly indulgent of my demands in trying to secure the right accommodation. I am about to move into my sixth suite and, as ever, the staff are fully supportive, flexible and in tune with my needs. I am under no illusion that the staff must dread my next phone call, but they never give anything other than their utmost.

I’m deeply indebted to them for their support and patience. It has been a crucial component in helping me establish what has become a thriving and successful business.

Helping to keep costs down

Gavin Luna who manages Fleming House says, “When Hopesprings first joined us they were in a situation which will be familiar to almost all start-ups – needing to keep expenditure to a minimum. Our  team was able to lend a hand to get them started.”

Gary continues: “Acquiring suitable furniture and fittings was a real challenge. The staff team at Bizspace once again stepped in to help. They even donated personal items of furniture (couches and armchairs etc) in order to help me get going. I can’t imagine getting support like this anywhere else and I am endlessly appreciative of their efforts.

“We have a friendly, positive and supportive relationship that continues to ensure that running a business at Fleming House is made much less stressful than it might otherwise be.”
